Yesterday was Labor Day and we didn’t have school! Chick-Fil-A was giving away free chicken strips all day. All you had to do was wear a t-shirt with your favorite football team’s logo or name on it. We went there for lunch with our cousins and we had a great time. We went to their house afterward and visited for a little while. After that, we went home and then we went back to Chick-Fil-A for dinner. It was a really fun day.

Today we started our first “official” day of school. We’ve just been finishing up and doing half-days. We also had to get our new schedule ready. Every year, on the first day of school, we have blueberry muffins for breakfast. Today Dad got them for us from H-E-B. Now we’re ready for school!

Fun at Sea World

Tuesday, August 5th, 2008

Make-A-Wish gave us all free tickets to Sea World and we went Sunday afternoon. We invited our grandma and she came too! We went to the water park for the first two hours. It was hot, but fun! After that, everyone except Grandma and Bradley, went on the Steel Eel! It was our first roller coaster and it was a little scary when we dropped down. Benjamin couldn’t wait to ride it, but when we were on the top about to go down, he told Dad, “Actually, I don’t want to do this anymore!”

Then we went on the Texas Splashdown. It was like a roller coaster, but with water. Dad and I wanted to go on the Great White, but everyone else decided not to. I like it better than the Steel Eel, because you don’t really go down a lot and it isn’t as high. We did scream though!

We were hungry after that, so we went and ate. Then we watched a Shamu show. It was neat!

We had a fun day.

Laser Quest!

Saturday, August 2nd, 2008

Yesterday we went to Laser Quest and it was so much fun! You had to try not to get tagged by anyone else’s laser. If you did get tagged, you couldn’t play for about five seconds. We got to play for three hours and the only people there were the WISHTEEN families. Afterwards, the man in charge took us all out to eat. Then we went to the movies and saw WALL- E.

Ice Skating!

Saturday, July 19th, 2008

Today was so much fun! Make-A-Wish, a program for kids with serious problems or diseases, is having what they call Wish Teens this summer. Teenagers that had cancer (or something else) can do some fun activities throughout the summer. Today we went ice skating for about two hours! (The boys and Dad played miniature golf instead.) All of us girls had a lot of fun and even Faith really likes to skate now. At first, she didn’t want to get on the ice.

Lord willing, later this summer we’re going to Sea World! It’s been a long time since we’ve been there. The Make-A-Wish group is giving all of us free tickets! I can’t wait!

We are here!

Saturday, June 28th, 2008

Today was a fun day! We went fishing on our grandpa’s boat. Each one of us caught a fish, which is really unusual! Afterwards, we went to a park and then we ate lunch.

Right now, we’re resting and Michelle, Grace, and I are about to finish a quilt. Faith, Benjamin, and Bradley are playing with toys in the back room.

Getting ready!

Wednesday, June 25th, 2008

Today we are packing for our trip to Fort Worth. We are leaving in two days! All of us are going except our parents. We have never all gone together. (Usually the girls go separately and then the boys go separately). We are going to stay for about a week. Then Mom and Dad will come and we’ll stay for a couple more days. Hopefully, we’ll be able to blog while we’re there!

Summer Fun!

Tuesday, June 17th, 2008

Yesterday, we had a water fight in our backyard. It was hot and fun! We couldn’t go anywhere, so it was a fun thing to do. The reason we can’t go anywhere, is because our Suburban isn’t working right now. If you have read my parents’ blogs, you probably know why!

We found out that it’s the fuel pump. It costs a LOT of money to fix. Yesterday, we prayed about God’s will for us. Then, someone very special to us said she would send the money! Praise the LORD!
